A Little Bit About the Maker

I was studying math at St. John’s University and had to take a required studio arts course. I took pottery to try something different, and I have never looked back. From the first time I sat at the wheel, I was hooked. There was something deeply satisfying about shaping clay with my hands, watching it transform from mud to something useful, beautiful, and lasting.

Today, I make functional pottery in my hometown of Red Wing, Minnesota—a place with a rich history of craftsmanship. I create mugs, bowls, plates, and vases meant to be used and enjoyed in daily life. I believe handmade objects have a quiet power. They bring warmth to routines, beauty to ordinary moments, and a sense of connection between the maker and the user.

Each piece I make reflects both the joy I find in the making process and my commitment to craftsmanship. I work slowly and intentionally, refining forms, testing glazes, and making sure every piece feels good to the touch. I hope my pottery adds something meaningful to the rhythm of your everyday life—whether it’s your morning coffee, a shared meal, or a moment of pause.

Thank you for supporting local makers. I’m honored to be part of Red Wing’s creative community.
